The vineyards

The winery FALOREIA DOMAINE was founded in 2004 in Thessaly by Bill & Artemis Tsina family, with the planting of the first vines of 50 acres. The winery was established in 2008 and is located at the foot of the Scoobos hill, at ancient Faloreia, below Kerketio Mount (Koziakas) and near the Peneus river banks. In addition, vines have been planted at the foot of Meteora in Kalambaka Municipality, as well as in Theopetra. Nowadays, the vineyards cover an area of 140 acres, where greek and foreign varieties, such as Muscat Hamburg, Assyrtiko, Malagouzia, Sauvignon blanc, Cabernet sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Xynomavro are cultivated. It is a modern winery with integrated management system aimed at the production of wine and high quality distillates. It has already been recognized by international and local discrimination. The winery is open and everyone can see the wine production process, as well as enjoy our products.

The cellars

• THE SPACE •

The underground cellar of the winery covers an area of 150 sq.m. at a depth of 3 meters under the surface of the earth. It is vaulted, built of stone and is able to accommodate 150 oak wine barrels.

• THE STORAGE •

Most of the time the temperature ranges at 12 °- 14 ° C that is ideal for aging, while humidity is at 75-80%. During summer time it is conditioned, in order to maintain the correct aging temperature. Cellar air is daily updated with an automatic ventilation system. The aging period for red wines ranges from 10 to 24 months, while for white ones from 5 to 10 months. The aging barrels are all made of top quality timber from the best forests of the world. Barrel capacity is 225-300 liters.
